What is the Future of Work Challenge?

The Future of Work Challenge is an exciting competition that invites you to imagine the future and bring your vision to life through a short video. Team up with friends and classmates to explore how we’ll work in the years ahead. Whether you're passionate about storytelling, technology, or creativity, this challenge offers a unique platform to showcase your ideas, collaborate with others, and inspire the world.

This challenge invites you to envision a future where innovation meets human potential, encouraging you to reflect on the intersection of technology, society, personal fulfillment, and what work could look like in the future.

Participate in 3 Easy Steps

Register

You’ll need at least 2 people, and at least one team member must be a student to be eligible for prizes.

Register by March 31, 2025

Create your vision

Collaborate with your team to develop a short (2 minutes or less) video showcasing your idea for the future of work.

Submit your video

Upload your finished video to YouTube or Vimeo, and include the link with your submission.

Submissions due by August 17, 2025

Format &Judging Criteria

Video Format

  • Create a video (up to 2 mins long) and upload it to YouTube or Vimeo.

  • There are no constraints so feel free to create any visual presentation such as animation, documentary, etc.

  • The usage of AI tools and other kinds of resources are permissible.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who can be on my team?

Team members can consist of anyone (fellow students, teachers, friends, parents…etc.) that you can collaborate with to create your vision of the future. They can also include resources that you might use to help you create the video, such as artists, video editors, etc…

If you don't have a team yet, you can still register and choose the option to let us know you are looking to join a team.

Can I use AI (Artificial Intelligence) to make my video?

Yes, AI tools are permissible in helping you create your video.

What if I don’t have equipment and am not good at video editing?

You don’t need fancy equipment or editing skills to participate. Consider creating a storyboard to map out your video idea. Use sketches or descriptive text to convey the flow. If interested in producing an actual video, try collaborating with peers who know how to make a video. Many smartphone apps also now enable basic video creation and editing functions. Focus first on fully developing your vision. We encourage all levels of technical skill to participate and contribute their perspectives. Creativity and a passion for imagining the future are what matter most!

There are many free programs available to use for video editing. Here are a few that you may want to try below:
